SB Summer Nights

The Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Santa Barbara Unified School District and other community agencies to offer a 6-week Summer Nights community program at La Cumbre Junior High that starts on June 8, 2022 at 4pm.

This program is aimed to combat youth violence and give teens a fun place to hang out in the evenings. The program is free and will run every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The program is for all ages but will target Junior High kids and their families.

Program staff will have different activities for the kids to do when they come: various sports (kickball, dodgeball, basketball, soccer, and more), yoga, Zumba, self-defense classes, art murals, music jam sessions, flat-ground skate competitions, community garden project, Aztec dance, poetry workshop, educational components, and more.
