Santa Barbara’s parks, beaches, open spaces, recreation facilities, and community programs are part of what makes our city special. The new Parks and Recreation Master Plan will create a shared vision for the future of these spaces and programs and guide near-term priorities and long-term goals for improvements and investments.

[First Card] Listen (Summer/Fall 2026): Learn what the community values, what could be improved, and what people would like to see in the future. [Second Card] Analyze (Winter/Spring 2027): Review community input, current conditions, demographics, trends, and future needs to understand gaps and opportunities. *A separate survey will be mailed to randomly selected households by ETC Institute, an independent research firm.

Attend a Workshop

Want to learn more before taking the survey? Join us at one of seven public workshops to learn about the Master Plan, ask questions, and share your thoughts.

The same presentation will be offered at each workshop, followed by time for questions and feedback. Workshops are optional, and you do not need to attend one to take the survey.
