RAP: Recreation Afterschool Program

OPTION 1 – Monthly Payment Plan: A $186 down payment will be required upfront, and monthly payments of $186 will automatically be charged to your credit/debit card every 1st of the month from September 2025 through June 2026. 

OPTION 2 – Full Payment: Pay for the entire 2025-2026 RAP school year: $1,860. 

Cancelation/Refunds: Families may cancel RAP at any time. Please note that cancelations will result in a $100 withdrawal fee per child. A prorated refund can be processed for payments made in full and will still be subjected to the withdrawal fee.

Note about registering after the program has started: If you register for RAP after the program begins, the amount will be prorated. Depending on when you register, the down payment may be more than $186 but the next payment will always fall on the first of the month. Know that the system is accurately charging the prorated amount for the entire program and if your down payment was more, the monthly charges will be less.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers scholarships for the Recreation Afterschool Program for families with a financial need. Scholarship funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on income eligibility. Proof of income will be required for verification.

PLEASE NOTE: submitting a scholarship application does not guarantee a scholarship. Families who are interested in applying for a scholarship are highly encouraged to register and secure your spot for the 2026-2027 school year on the registration date to be announced in the spring. If awarded a scholarship, the payment that was made upfront will be used towards the future months. 

The deadline to submit scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 school year was Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 10:00 p.m. Notification regarding scholarship awards was provided via email on August 11th.

Ensure you have a valid payment method on file to avoid any service interruptions.

Medical Questionnaire and Inclusion Support
Parents must complete a Medical Questionnaire for each child enrolled in the RAP Program. Additional information may be needed for children requesting inclusion services.

Emergency Contacts and Authorized Pick-up List
Each child needs at least one emergency contact listed in their PerfectMind account. You can add up to four contacts directly in PerfectMind. If more than four contacts are required, please email us at rap@SantaBarbaraCA.gov with your child’s name, RAP site, and the details for each additional authorized person for pick-up.
