New and Upgraded Sports Courts Provide More Opportunities To Play
The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department has installed one new sports court and upgraded another court to create more free recreational opportunities for the community. Both projects were funded by a Community Development Block Grant.
Bohnett Park
Bohnett Park received a new outdoor sports court, doubling as a second basketball court and also a futsal court. (Futsal is a variation of soccer played on a hard surface similar in size to a basketball court.) The park's existing basketball court was also resurfaced and restriped.

Westside Neighborhood Center
Another nearby basketball court was recently resurfaced and restriped at the Westside Neighborhood Center on West Victoria Street.
