In early 2024, winter storms caused significant coastal erosion to the bluffs along Shoreline Park. Temporary fencing was installed for public safety while the Parks and Recreation Department developed plans for a longer-term solution. 

The Shoreline Park Fence and Pathway Relocation project relocated 620 linear feet of blufftop fencing and 1,200 square feet of concrete pathway inland away from the receding bluff.
