Cabrillo Pavilion

The Cabrillo Pavilion is Santa Barbara's premier beachfront venue with options to host large events, small meetings, training seminars, and more! Looking for a place to get a workout in or rinse off after a day at the beach? The Cabrillo Pavilion has you covered as well with a fitness center, locker rooms, and showers.

Built just one year after the 1925 earthquake that transformed the look of our city, the Cabrillo Pavilion was designed by Roland Sauter and E. Keith Lockard and funded by local philanthropist David Gray. In 1927, Gray donated the Pavilion to the City of Santa Barbara, with the stipulation that the building be self-sustaining, and that it should be used for park and recreation purposes, providing a community resource open to all. The Cabrillo Pavilion is his lasting legacy: a gift to the people of Santa Barbara.

The Cabrillo Pavilion was fully renovated in 2020.

The Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center on the upstairs level is Santa Barbara’s premier beachfront venue overlooking the ocean. Accommodating up to 200 guests, the Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center's entry lounge, expansive open-plan event space, two outdoor terraces, and panoramic ocean views make the upstairs events center an idyllic location for truly memorable weddings and special events.

The Pavilion’s downstairs level, right on the beach, offers access to its state-of-the-art fitness room, locker rooms and showers, a small Conference Room, and a Training Room available for community activities ranging from fitness classes to corporate meetings.

The downstairs level also hosts a unique beachfront dining experience at Reunion Kitchen.
