Pricing applies Friday-Sunday and holidays. Reservations must occur between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., including event setup and breakdown.

Weekend rates include an 8-hour reservation. Reservations include the presence of an event monitor and security guard and post-event cleaning.

Discounted rates are available for City of Santa Barbara residents and non-profits. Proof of residency or 501(c)(3) status is required to receive discounted rates.

A $300 non-refundable down payment is required at the time of booking. All reservations are subject to a refundable security deposit of up to $1,000.

The Carrillo Ballroom’s cantilevered maple dance floor is loved by dance communities near and far. Designed to provide natural flexibility and shock absorption, this floor offers a smooth, comfortable surface that’s perfect for long hours of dancing. While other venues in the western United States offer sprung dance floors, the Carrillo Ballroom's wooden joists and cantilevered system is truly one-of-a-kind.

The Carrillo Ballroom offers flexible catering options, allowing you to bring in vendors of your choice, with a list of local providers available upon request. Up to five hours of alcohol service is permitted within the venue and the outdoor courtyard.

The Carrillo Ballroom includes complimentary access to essential A/V amenities to support performances, presentations, and special events. A raised stage with wings is perfect for live music, speakers, or theatrical performances. The venue also includes a PA system with microphones, 47-inch display television, and two 70-inch projection screens, a mobile lectern, and public Wi-Fi.

Amplified music and event activities are permitted until 11:00 p.m. 

The Carrillo Ballroom offers the perfect blank canvas for your event. All reservations include tables and chairs, and various additional furnishings. After booking, you’ll receive complimentary access to online software to design your event layout. Our staff will arrange items according to your specifications before your reservation begins.

With key furniture items included in your reservation, you can focus your budget on personalizing your event by bringing in your own decor, linens, tableware, centerpieces, floral arrangements, and additional lighting.

The downtown location of the Carrillo Ballroom offers convenient parking for you and your guests. Paid parking is available in City Lot 8 and Lot 9. Paid parking is first come, first served. Free street parking is available on nearby streets.
