Preparations Underway for the Return of Fiesta
The Old Spanish Days Fiesta celebration will return in its entirety for the first time since 2019 with two parades, two mercados, a carnival site, and various events throughout the city between Wednesday, August 3 and Saturday, August 6. Parks and Recreation staff are preparing for large crowds in parks hosting or adjacent to planned Fiesta events.
Preparations across the city will begin Friday, July 29, with maintenance and clean-up planned throughout the following week.
Park preparations include:
- Placing barriers and mesh to protect landscaping, flower beds, and sensitive turf areas
- Moving landscaping to allow for vendor load-in
- Installing directional and regulation signage
- Placing trash and recycling receptacles
