Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show

As a member of the Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show, you'll have the opportunity to connect with patrons, build relationships with fellow artists, and share the story behind your craft. 

Artisan Application Process

1. Check Your Eligibility
   - Be a resident of Santa Barbara County
   - Create all of the work you exhibit and sell yourself 
    
2. Prepare Your Permits
   All exhibitors are required to obtain:
   - A California Seller's Permit 
   - A City of Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show Permit

3. Apply and Present Your Work 
   Applications are reviewed once a month by the Arts and Crafts Show Advisory Committee and program staff.
   
   If your application meets eligibility requirements, you'll be invited to a new applicant screening, where you'll present your work to the committee. 
   
   The committee will then make a recommendation to staff, and staff will notify you of the final decision.
    

Permit Costs

The annual show permit is $676, averaging less than $11 per show.

Cottage Foods Application 

Artisans who prepare and sell homemade foods may need to apply under California's Cottage Food program. This can include items such as baked goods, candies, jams, and other approved foods that can be safely prepared in a home kitchen. 
*If you plan to sell food at the Show, review the Cottage Foods requirements to determine whether this application applies to your products.
