Carrillo Recreation Center

For more than 100 years, the Carrillo Recreation Center has served generations of the Santa Barbara residents as a favorite gathering place. Originally constructed in 1914, the building is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. 

Today, it continues to welcome thousands of visitors each year for recreation programs, performances, celebrations, meetings, dances, and community events. Its blend of historic architecture and versatile event spaces makes Carrillo Recreation Center one of the City's most unique and treasured community venues.

Carrillo Ballroom

Carrillo Ballroom

The historic Carrillo Ballroom is the centerpiece of the Carrillo Recreation Center. Known for its beautiful hardwood dance floor and soaring ceilings, it has hosted concerts, dances, galas, community celebrations, and special events for generations. 

*Weekend reservations of the ballroom also include use of the Founders Room, Meeting Room, and the Conference Room.

Carrillo Recreation Center's Meeting Room, Founders Room, and Conference Room provide flexible space for meetings, workshops, trainings, and small gatherings.
