Tunnel Trail
Tunnel Trail is one of Santa Barbara's most popular trails for hikers and bikers alike. The trail's popularity comes from its challenge as well its views of waterfalls and ocean vistas. The trailhead begins roughly three-quarters of a mile up Tunnel Road and climbs for nearly 4 miles to Gibraltar Road, at roughly 3,400 feet elevation. About three-quarters of a mile up Tunnel Trail, the connection to Inspiration Point, an aptly named popular viewpoint of the City, splits off to the west.
Visitors are likely to encounter: hikers/joggers, dogs, bikers, and poison oak. Visitors may encounter: horses, snakes, and other wildlife. Dogs are allowed on-leash; cleanup is required.
