Franklin Neighborhood Center Multi-Purpose Room

Pricing applies Friday-Sunday and holidays. Reservations must occur between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., including event setup and breakdown.

Weekend rates include an 8-hour reservation with the option to purchase up to two additional hours if needed. Reservations include the presence of an event monitor and security guard and post-event cleaning.

Discounted rates are available for City of Santa Barbara residents and non-profits. Proof of residency or 501(c)(3) status is required to receive discounted rates.

A $300 non-refundable down payment is required at the time of booking. All reservations are subject to a $300 refundable security deposit.

The Franklin Neighborhood Center Multi-Purpose Room offers flexible catering options, allowing you to bring in vendors of your choice, with a list of local providers available upon request. Food trucks are allowed to set up in the alleyway or one of the parking spaces closest to the building. Outdoor grilling, taqueros, or other catering services can be set up on the patio with electrical access for onsite cooking or creative food set ups. Alcohol service is permitted within the venue.

The Multi-Purpose Room offers a blank canvas for your entertainment vision, whether you’re planning a DJ set, live band, or film screening. Electrical outlets are available to power speakers, lighting, projectors, and more. A projection screen is available to be used. Amplified music is permitted until 9:00 p.m.

All reservations of the Multi-Purpose Room include tables and chairs. After booking, you’ll receive complimentary access to online software to design your event layout. Our staff will arrange items according to your specifications before your reservation begins. The outdoor patio is included in your reservation, guests typically use this space to spread out seating or to host a food buffet.

With key furniture items included in your reservation, you can focus your budget on personalizing your event by bringing in your own decor, linens, tableware, centerpieces, floral arrangements, and additional lighting.

The Franklin Neighborhood Center offers convenient parking for you and your guests. An on-site parking lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Parks and Recreation Department shares the Franklin Neighborhood Center with third party community services whose staff and guests might be parking in the lot during your event. Street parking is also available in the neighborhood.
