Halloween Dance for People of All Abilities Set for October 25

The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department's Adapted Recreation Program is hosting its annual all-inclusive Halloween Dance on Friday, October 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Carrillo Ballroom, 100 E. Carrillo Street. The Halloween Dance is one in a series of annual events to bring people of all abilities together for a night of music, dancing, and fun. The event will feature a transformed venue decorated for Halloween, music provided by DJ of Ability, and a variety of festive refreshments and treats. World Dance for Humanity will provide an interactive dance performance for all to join in.

Each year, participants go all out for a costume contest, so be sure to dress in your favorite Halloween costume!

The Adapted Recreation Program gives people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy leisure activities in a safe and supportive environment that fosters an enriching experience for all who participate. The program's goal is for everyone to have fun, learn new skills, get fit and socialize with friends. Other upcoming events and programs include the Thanksgiving Luncheon on Wednesday, November 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Westside Neighborhood Center and the Adapted Bowling Program which takes place on the first Saturday of every month from October through May.
