The Adapted Recreation Program gives people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy leisure activities in a safe and supportive environment that fosters an enriching experience for all who participate. Popular programs for adults with disabilities include inclusive yoga, bowling, dances, and special events.

Enjoy Santa Barbara's popular East Beach Volleyball Courts and make friends at one of our classes designed for different skill levels. Drills are used to improve serving, passing, setting, hitting, positioning, and offensive and defensive strategies.

Workout at the Cabrillo Pavilion Fitness Center, offering a state-of-the-art fitness center and the perfect alternative to crowded, noisy gyms. Located just steps from East Beach, the facility combines high-quality equipment with a calm, quiet environment, perfect for focused workouts.

Play a round of golf at the Santa Barbara Golf Club! Open to the public 365 days a year, Santa Barbara Golf Club is an 18-hole regulation par-70 golf course with sweeping views of the Santa Ynez foothills and the Pacific Ocean. Visit PlaySantaBarbara.com for more information.

Competitive indoor volleyball leagues are offered in the fall for players of any skill level. Six-player coed and women's divisions are offered each year. If you're interested in joining or creating a team, reach out to Sports@SantaBarbaraCA.gov to learn more.

Beginner/Novice and Intermediate/Advanced pickleball class options are offered at the Municipal Tennis and Pickleball Center throughout the year.

Doubles pickleball leagues are offered in the spring and summer for every skill level and playing experience. Leagues include Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Women's Doubles.

Friday Night Swing

This monthly event, held in the Carrillo Ballroom, features beginner and intermediate swing dance lessons before a live band takes the stage for an evening of dancing and prizes. Each month brings a different band, with music ranging from jazz and jive to blues and rockabilly. Dancers of all skill levels and abilities are welcome!

Lessons begin at 7:30 p.m., and live music and dancing happen from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with a break for intermission and door prizes.

Let It Go Yoga

Let It Go Yoga is a gentle yoga experience practiced lying down with eyes closed, allowing for inner focus. Let It Go Yoga incorporates deep breathing, meditation, and time in each pose to safely work with your body's individual needs. Mats and other props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like.
