Carrillo Street Gymnasium

Located next door to the Carrillo Recreation Center, the Carrillo Street Gymnasium features an indoor court and a recently remodeled rooftop court that supports basketball, volleyball, futsal, and small-sided soccer activities. Courts are available by reservation only. 

The building, a designated City Landmark, was designed in 1926 by architect Julia Morgan, who famously designed Hearst Castle among more than 700 buildings in California throughout her career.

This indoor gymnasium, located in the heart of downtown, is perfect for youth and adult basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer or futsal, P.E. classes, company teambuilding events, and more. The gym features two 10-foot basketball hoops with glass backboards, padded walls, and an indoor volleyball net system.

Rooftop Court

Rooftop Court at the Carrillo Street Gymnasium

The recently restored rooftop court offers a unique opportunity to play outdoors in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. The court features adjustable basketball hoops ranging from 5.5 feet to 10 feet. The hoops can be moved aside to allow for full-court volleyball with an included adjustable height net system. 

This smaller court is perfect for youth practices, adult scrimmages, P.E. classes, company teambuilding events, and more!
